Preslia is a peer-reviewed scientific journal
publishing original research papers on plant systematics, morphology,
phytogeography, ecology, vegetation science and Quaternary palaeobotany, with a geographical focus on
central Europe. The journal was founded in 1914 and named in honour of brothers
Jan Svatopluk Presl (1791–1849) and Karel Bořivoj Presl (1794–1852),
outstanding Bohemian botanists. It is published quarterly by the
Czech Botanical Society, Benátská
2, Praha 2, CZ-128 01, Czech Republic, and is sent to subscribers or as an
exchange to 46 countries of all continents. Details on preparing of manuscripts
are given in the Guidelines for authors.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Starting with issue 1 of 2022, Preslia will be published in the Gold Open Access
regime. The papers will no longer be printed in an issue but published electronically
as PDF files. Publication charges are 15.000 CZK / 600 EUR for members of the Czech
Botanical Society, and 18.000 CZK / 720 EUR for other authors.

targeting Preslia, have recently appeared on the Internet. Please be sure that
you follow instructions from this website www.preslia.cz. Also the emails that
are being distributed in the name of Preslia are spam and do not have anything
to do with the journal. We strongly advice you not to pay anything to the
cheaters distributing these emails. Preslia only publishes botanical papers
and never requires publication costs at the time of submission.
